ABOUT DR. JOEL BAKUNZI<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr Joel Bakunzi is a distinguished Specialist Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon dedicated to providing exemplary eye care to patients in South Africa. <\/span><\/p>\n

With extensive qualifications, including an MBChB, FCophth (SA), DipOphth (SA), and Mmed (SMU), Dr Bakunzi combines clinical expertise with compassion to ensure personalized treatment for each patient.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Bakunzi currently serves as the Clinical Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Harry Gwala Regional Hospital, formerly Edendale Hospital. In this role, he oversees ophthalmic services, demonstrating leadership and commitment to advancing eye care and patient outcomes. <\/span><\/p>\n

His private practice is suited at Eden Gardens Private Hospital in Pietermaritzburg and Apex Surgical Centre in Johannesburg.<\/span><\/p>\n
